Sensis WebWorks™
is an end to end online solution helping Australian Small to Medium Enterprises (SME’s) create a professional online presence.
Sensis WebWorks™
will deliver a high quality, easy-to-use website that is simple to maintain and update as a business grows. Template based site design ensures information is grouped in a logical manner, allowing visitors to quickly locate what they are looking for.
The Sensis WebWorks™ package includes:
- Website design and build
- Domain name registration and delegation
- Hosting of the site
- 5 e-mail addresses linked to the website address
- Creation of a Whereis MapLink™
- Simple-to-use tools allowing the customer to maintain and update the site
- Customer service and support 8.30 – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday on 1800 034 430
Customers can monitor the website performance in real-time as statistics are measured and available online every hour. Access to the site is also available to the customer at any time for self-maintenance.
How much does it cost?
There are no hidden costs, however you should be aware that you are entering a contract with a minimum term of six months for which the minimum charge is $2,420 (incl GST), being the set-up fee of $2090 (incl GST) plus the first six months worth of monthly fees at $55 (incl. GST) per month. After this period the monthly fee is on-going and you can cancel your service at any time with 30 days notice. Additional charges that apply to Sensis WebWorks™ are incurred if you order:
- additional e-mail service set-up fee (which will incur $44 incl GST for bundles of 5 additional e-mail addresses) plus an ongoing additional subscription charge for each bundle of up to 5 ($16.50 incl GST per month)
- development of custom pages (over an above the optional 2 custom pages that are included as part of the initial set-up fee). The charge per custom page (includes a maximum of 3 images and 300 words) is $220 incl GST
- account-managed maintenance of active website pages and the creation of template pages. Charges for this are $66 incl GST per text (300 word limit) and style design change and $55 incl GST per image change or addition.
NOTE: Updates (that may be required from time to time) to your location and contact details are included as part of the service initial set-up fee.
What do I need to run Sensis WebWorks™?
To own a website, you actually do not need anything (even a computer), however, if you want to administer your website, and collect your emails w
e recommend you have the following computer equipment:

- Windows 95, 98, 98SE, NT, or 2000
- Internet Explorer v 4.1 or above or Netscape Navigator v 4.06 or above
2. Hardware
- IBM compatible system
- Minimum Pentium 166MHz Processor
- Minimum 64 MB RAM

What happens when I sign up with Sensis WebWorks™?
After you have purchased Sensis WebWorks™(signed the agreement) you will be asked to select a domain name or provide us with a domain name if you already own one. You will then be supplied with a content collection booklet which should prompt you to begin thinking about what your business should include in your website and the areas you would like to focus on.
A few days later one of our Content Consultants will be in contact to check that you have received everything and to make sure you have started thinking about the website. The consultant will also schedule a time for their first phone conversation where they will assist you to plan the site by probing you about your business objectives, the objectives of your site and your content requirements. This will help you to pull together an appropriate menu of pages for your site. The content consultant then continues to work with you to pull together appropriate photos, images, logos and text to represent your business and complete each page. After this has finished and your site is built, you then have a period of ten days to review it and advise us of any minor edits that you would like to make. Once you are happy, you activate the site and your email service.
Can I incorporate my own company logo and images?
You can use your own logo and images with Sensis WebWorks™.
How long will it take to build my site?
Once you have provided us with all the content for your website we will aim to have your website built within 10 working days.
How will customers find my site on the Internet?

How secure is Sensis WebWorks™?
Very secure, as your Sensis WebWorks™ website will be stored on our server there is no additional risk of someone hacking into your computer. However, as with all e-mail services you should be careful when opening e-mails with attachments.
Can I use my current web address/domain name?
Yes you can choose to retain your existing domain name registrar if you wish to. However, in these circumstances it will be necessary for you to organise your own delegation or re-delegation directly with them.
